Red D'Anjou
With much the same texture and flavor of the more prevelant green Anjou's, the deep maroon red skins of Red Anjous offer visual excitement in salads, fruit bowls and plates, gift fruit baskets or anywhere fresh uncooked pears would be used. The color red adds flash and visual interest wherever added to food. Available: October through May. Remains maroon red when ripe. Display green & red D'Anjou at Christmas...what a beautiful combination.
